StuBow's Coastal Run

Hello NCVC members, We had a nice informal meeting yesterday at StuBows house, had some good hamburgers & hot dogs, plus a nice ride after lunch, that is some of us had a nice ride after lunch, several of them headed home right after the meeting, said they had honey do's to take care of.  The meeting was mostly about the ball caps we ordered & received, That is if
you want to call them ball caps.   There were 11 members present for the meeting and not one person out of the 11 liked them, I bought two caps here in Fresno and had the patches sewn on them, everyone seemed to like the one's I had bought so we will send one of them as a sample of what we want, along with the jokes they sent us.  I will keep you informed on how we are doing on the swap around.  Hope to see a lot of you at the camp out in Columbia on the 24 thru the 26th,  StuBow has put all the information you will need on our web site, there are even hotels -motels & I think a B&B, plus the camp grounds, they have a
little store and flush toilets & showers and a pool, plus it's a ten minute walk into historic Columbia, and best of all there are some mighty fine roads  to ride on all over the place, So gather your selves up and come on out one  more time before school starts. Cheers.

Hi All,

We are having an informal NorCal Voyagers Club Meeting at my house on the 11th of August.  We will meet at my home between 11:00 and 11:30 am.  My address is 34 Southfield Court San Jose.  The phone number is 408-225-6434.  I will post directions on the Voyager web site.  I can also provide them to you if you need.  We will have lunch consisting of Burgers and dogs and some salads (donations will be accepted).  We will conduct an informal meeting during and after lunch.  We will head out for a day ride from my house to Santa Cruz between 2 and 2:30.  We will take Hwy 85 to Hwy 17 to Santa Cruz.  We will  then head up the coast on Hwy 1 to Half Moon Bay and then back over Hwy 92 to 280 to 85 South down to San Jose.  If you are interested in staying for a BBQ Saturday night please let me know so I can get enough chow.

If you need to spend the night there are campgrounds about 15 minutes north east of my house at Joseph D Grant.  There are also campgrounds just south of me in Gilroy that take reservations I believe.  This location should be about half an hour  - 45 minutes from my house.  They have 77 sites as opposed to 22 at the Joseph D Grant location.  Also JD Grant locks the gates at sunset.  The prefered location is called Coyote Lake and here is the web address http://claraweb.co.santa-clara.ca.us/parks/prkpages/coylake.htm .
