Greetings to you all, Well it’s over and we had a wonderful time in Tahoe, We had 15 paid up members and two Guest at the event, everyone camped out except one couple, who will remain nameless.  Our guest were Duane & Dolly Stark’s daughter, (can’t remember her name) (SORRY), and Tom Anderson a friend of mine from Fresno and a member of the Golden State Riders Club, which I am a member also.  We had a very productive meeting which lasted for 2.5 hours, we made a lot of progress, we discussed several items, and really got down and dirty with our club logo part of it. It got so exciting that Tom wanted to cast a vote, But when he realized he couldn’t vote because he wasn’t a member, we had to hold up the meeting long enough for him to join the club, and than he voted his heart out.

I am proud to say that the club logo packets we are offering  to our members  were placed on order Monday afternoon  and will arrive (hopefully) in time for us to get them sewn on our vest – jackets or what ever.  We have sold only 23 packets, and we had a minimum order of 50, So we took a vote and all agreed to rob the treasury of all except $100.00, We were still short about $300.00, So I loaned the club the extra funds needed for the purchase.  The good news is for those of you who have not yet bought your packets, You have until July the 1st to get them on order and paid for. The bad news is if you wait until after the first, they will cost you an extra ten dollars, ($40.00).  If you want to order any individual items as of the 18th you will have to pay the full price for each item, I will put out a new price list as soon as I get the agreed on prices from our secretary.

As I said, we had a nice time, Had plenty to eat & drink, And some of us took a little ride down to the capitol, (Carson City) and went through the old museum that was once the United States Mint. I guess it’s safe to say I was very interested in it’s contents, I was in there for over 4 hours, In fact Doris had to come and get me. It seems as though everyone was getting hungry and I was holding up the process.  One thing I have learned over the years, Is never mess with a man’s motorcycle, And don’t get in his way when he’s hungry, That’s of course a motorcycling man.  The rest of the group went into town to exercise their arms & brains In fact I think all of us left our share of the donations there for the poor folks who run those gambling houses.

We discussed several items at the meeting, but I won’t elaborate on them at this time, But I will say we are planing a poker run for the weekend of October  6  and we need some volunteers to man the check points & sign in tables, and to help sell tickets for the 50/50 and the door prizes.  Anyone interested in volunteering for a spot please contact John Adkins, you can find his phone # and e-mail add on your membership list.  I will be sending you out a new one some time this week, If I get the information I need by than.  That about covers everything for now, so I guess we will see those of you who are going to Red River up in Fallon on the 20th, Until than ride safe and keep the rubber side down.
