NorCal Voyagers Club
Bodega Bay

For the Month of May we had a camp out at the Bodega Dunes Camp grounds at the Sonoma Coast State Beach, I must confess I have had a lot camp outs that were much better than this one was. The camp sites were fine and the riding was wonderful once you got away from the coast.
The camp out was attended by myself, Bob Webb, Tom &Lori Hite and their daughter Ashley, Frank Boyer, Don & Doris Brubaker, Rex & DannettWoodruff, Dale Bird, Stuart Bowen, and we had some guest, George Donnely from Salinas, Larry & Dorine Kirkes from Fowler Ca, members of the Golden State Riders.
The weather was awfull, it was overcast and cold all weekend, the mosquitos about ate us up. But we had two good rides, I took them all out on Saturday, we all toured the fort at Fort Ross, and then we rode up through the mountains where the sun was shining, we wound our way around through the mountains and headed south. We wound up in a little town called Occidental where Stuart assured us we could get a very good Italian meal, he was right the food was wonderful.
On Sunday Larry led some of us up the coast to Ft Bragg, we had lunch there, then headed south to Mendocino where we picked up hwy 128 and rode south east through the coastal red woods, beautiful scenery. We came out onto hwy 101 just north of Santa Rosa, went south to hwy 12 , and headed west again on 12 and back to our camp site.
Some of the members had to leave on Sunday, the rest stayed over until Monday, the ride home was very nice, nice & warm and not near as much traffic as we had expected.
We didn't hold a meeting at this camp out, because we really didn't have anything to discuss at this particular time, and the tee shirts were behind schedule, but we had a promise of delivery before June 4.
That about covers everything up through the end of May.

Come on up to the Sanoma Coast for a weekend of Fun and Friends.  Bodega Bay is located 60 miles North of San Francisco
