Trip Report - Bob Joyner

April 1st, through the 4th was the dates for the April Nor-Cal Voyagers event. A camp out was in order at Santa Margarita Lake in San Luis Obispo County. Unfortunately, only five members and two guests of Bob Joyner showed up for the campout. Even at that, a great time was had by all. The weather was great and good eats abound. Two great scenic rides were on tap for Friday and Saturday. One ride went into San Luis Obispo then up Highway 1 to beautiful Montana Deoro State Park. The ride continued past Moro Bay and up into the coast foothills for a ride through the back roads into Paso Robles for lunch.

The Saturday ride took the riders through the backside of San Luis Obispo and down to Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande and into the wine country of the Santa Ynez valley. Brew was doing his best to get a Michael Jackson sighting, but no such luck.

Anyway, the trip would not have been complete without a stop at the Fess Parker Winery. The return trip back to the campground went by way of Lompoc and back up Highway 101.
