Our President Ray Walls: was born in Geary Oklahoma on July the 24th 1936. His family moved to Dumas Texas when he was 6 years old. He lived in Dumas until he was 19. He joined the Navy in July of 1955, he gave them 20 years and retired in May of 1975. Then he went to work for the Veterans Administration (VA HOSPITAL.)
In August of 75, This was in Long Beach Ca. He transferred to the Fresno VA in 1982, where he worked until his retirement on January 3rd, 1997. He worked for the VA for 21.5 years. Ray bought his first motorcycle a 1941 model 61 CI Harley Davidson in 1953. His dad sold it out from under him because he felt it wasn't safe to ride one of those things. Ray bought his second bike in 1964 a Honda 305 dream.
After he retired from the Navy he bought a 1978 Honda CB 750 K. The following year Suzuki came out with the GS 850G with a drive shaft. Ray didn't waste any time trading his Honda in for the 1979 Suzuki. He rode this one until 1987 when he sold it with 98000 miles on it. He bought a 1984 Honda GL 1200 Aspencade which he rode until 1994, he sold it with 92000 on it. Then he bought a 1992 Kawasaki Voyager 1200, (NEW) in August of 1995 which he still rides today.
He has had several other bikes but most of them were just for horse trading purposes only. Ray says the Voyager is by far the best handling and trouble free bike he has ever owned. Ray is the founder of the Northern California Voyagers and is the only President they have ever had. He turned 71 years old this past July and still loves to ride his bike.
He loves camping, Long distance trips and day trip dinner rides, or what ever you want to call it. He just loves riding motorcycles.
