I grew up in High Point, North Carolina. At 22, I moved to San Francisco. I’ve had a lot of different jobs. My favorites were working at the Stanford Court Hotel, McKinsey & Co., and for Kendall-Jackson Winery. Now I am an administrative assistant for a venture capital firm in Menlo Park
I always liked motorcycles, but only had a few chances to ride as a passenger until I met my husband, Don. I rode as his passenger for about 1-1/2 years. Then, I took the motorcycle safety course and bought my 1st bike – an almost new 250 Rebel with 600 miles on it. I had that for about 1-1/2 years. My longest trip on the Rebel was from Pacifica to Winnemucca, NV. I even rode it in snow! Then I graduated to a Yamaha Virago 1100. That was a sweet bike. Later I had a Kawasaki ZR7S. Now I have Goldwing trike that is more fun than I ever imagined. I got it in July 2007 and by mid-August; I have 5400 miles on it.
Don & I take as many road trips as working people can. We love to motorcycle camp with the NorCal Voyagers. We’re mighty envious of those in the club who are retired and can come early & stay late. We have attended the last 3 national AVA rallies and are looking forward to 2008 in Bowling Green, KY. I can’t wait to take my trike cross country.
