NorCal Voyagers Club
Board Meeting Minutes

Hello NCVC members & friends.

We held our October meeting on the 20th in Modesto, at the Cafe Orleans. I would say that we had a pretty productive meeting, we did manage to load up our board with new & old members. But we could still use an activities director to give us a full board.

I would like to ask those of you that didn't make the meeting, to give some consideration to runing for an office. You will receive a copy of the minutes along with this letter and you can see who volunteered to take an office.

But if there is an office you would like to run for, don't let someone else stop you from runing for that office, just because they are runing for it too.We need a little compitition in these races. Also here you don't have to buy air time, or tell lies about your apponent or run him or her down.

It will only take up about two hours a month of your time, and some times not even that much, so please give it some thought, and let me know if you are willing to run for an office, no later than Nov 15th.

Our by laws were written up for another club and we just sorta borrowed them, made a few changes here and there than adopted them for our club. But since we really don't operete the same way the other club operates, we need to make some changes to our by laws, and we expect to make those changes in Jan or Feb of 2003.

Every member received a copy of the clubs by laws when they joined the club. I would like for all of you to sit down with your copy of the by laws and see what changes you would like to see come about. Write down what you think should be changed and the wording it should be changed too, than submit it to the board for consideration.

We were going to Apple Hill for our next event on November 9th, but they shut down the shuttle service to the area, I suppose due to the lack of funds. So we are changing our schedule to go to the New Bike Show in San Mateo at the Expo Center.

The last time we did this we met at Road Rider, but this makes for a very long ride for those of you who are coming from the Sacramento area. What I would suggest is for those of you that can make the show on Saturday, Just show up out in front of the Expo center at 11:30 and we can all go in at one time, and we can meet at a certain time & place after the show and have lunch somewhere in the area.

I will set it up with the Café Orleans to have another meeting there on Nov 23, and hopefully some of you will have decided to volunteer for a board position or to help in the running of the club in some other form.
