MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 2001 CLUB MEETING

Meeting was called to order @12:30 PM by President Ray Walls, members in attendance were, Ray Walls, Duane Stark, Bob Webb, Stuart Bowen, Wayne Bright, & Jeff Winter (guest).

The meeting went as follows, President introduced guest Jeff Winter.

Reading of the minutes from last months meeting, None available.

Treasurers report, We have a balance of $812.48 in the treasury.

Tour directors report, tour director was absent, but we know the club is scheduled to attend the MC Show in San Mateo on 11-11-01.

Social Directors Report. None available.

Old Business discussed. Ray Walls presented a break down of expenses he has incurred since the club was formed. (copy to be attached to minutes) the total came to $624.00. A suggestion was made that the club pay Ray his money back, Stuart Bowen made a motion to make the payment, Duane Stark seconded it, a vote was taken and the motion carried.

The treasurer is now authorized to make out a check to Ray for $624.00. This will leave a balance of $188.48 in the club treasury.

The price of the club patches was brought up. How much are they now. The following was given, the 10.5” patch is $15.00, 3.5” patch $6.00, lapel pin $6.00, Baseball cap with new logo, $15.00. =  $42.00 if bought individually, If you buy them as a kit the price will be $40.00.

A discussion was held on new shirts with club logo. At this point in time all the prices we have received, have been to high, Ray is going to check into a deal the Clovis High School is offering, we furnish our own shirts and they will embroidery them for us. No price is available at this time.

Discussed the nominations for board members, and the subject of changing the title of the tour director over to activities director. Bob Webb made a motion that we change the name. The motion was seconded by  Stuart Bowen. A vote was taken and the motion was carried. The new name is now Activities director.

Ray has agreed to carry on as president. Stuart Bowen has agreed to run for V.P. Doris Brubaker has agreed to stay on as secretary. Bob Webb has agreed to run for club treasurer. And rumor has it George Rogers has agreed to run for Activities director, this must be confirmed though. And Don Brubaker has agreed to stay on as referee, (Rumored also). We will be able to vote via the web site, there will be a ballot inserted on the web site.

New Business, Toy run Fairfield Harley Davidson, meet there no later than 10:00AM, If you can’t make it by 10:00, than meet up with them in Dixon at the Pitt School off ramp.

Bob Webb has an outlet for name tags, black lettering on a silver background with the picture of a motorcycle on it, the clubs name and your name, price is $9.50 ea, if you are interested in the name tags contact Bob Webb.

A discussion was had on making reservations for the New Wrinkles show in Fresno next spring. The show was discussed. Wayne Bright who is a member of the cast told everyone all about the show. It was than decided the club should participate in the event. Bob Webb made a motion that we have Wayne make reservations for the club and this will be the club’s (May) function. Duane Stark seconded the motion, a vote was taken, the motion carried.

Discussed June ride to Idaho, (Triangle Rally) the dates haven’t been confirmed, but it was thought they are June 7th through the 9th, dates to be confirmed later.

 

This year’s Christmas party will be held at John’s house, on December the 15th. The ETA we think is 10:00AM, This must be confirmed though. Everyone is to bring a gift with a value of not over $10.00, Men, bring one for a man & women bring one for a woman.

 

50/50 drawing was held. The winning ticket was drawn by the waitress.  The winner was Bob Webb, The pot had $30.00 in it. Bob got $15.00 and the club got $15.00.

 

Motion to adjourn was made by Wayne Bright, Stuart made the second a vote was taken and the motion carried, the meeting was adjourned at 1:12 PM
