December 2000 Meeting Minutes
The business meeting of the Northern Ca. Voyagers was called to order
at 2:30 PM in Merced Ca. at the home John and Dottie Adkins who graciously
also provided a very good Christmas party after the meeting. We had a Treasurers
report given by President Ray Walls who I didn't aknowledge opened
thhe meeting. Treasurers Lee House was absent. We had 12 people present
for the meeting. Sec. C.G. Greer and the always lovely Joanne Worstein,
The lady in president Rays life Ms. Betty Menezes, Don and one of
everyones favorite Ladies Mrs Doris Brubaker Don also called husband by
her. Rex and Denett were also there and how can we forget our very very
special hostess Dottie Adkins. Two new members were signed up Fritz Well
and Timothy Water from the San Jose area.No old business was discussed
but for the record it should have been. There was no business meeting in
Nov. and the meeting in Manteca was canceled and no pictures taken. We
were blessed by a report from tour director John A. and asked if anyone
was interested in a ride to Death Valley in Jan. No takers John reported
we would have a ride in Jan. possibly to the previously disussed Mercer
Caverns. A report was given on a campout at Song Dog Ranch next year and
what to expect. Also the Red River National A.V.A Rally was discussed and
the month I believe is August and in New Mexico. The Jazz Festival to be
held old town Sacramento was discussed and Don B. offered free passes to
our members. The festival will be held Memorial Day weekend. The
nominees for oofice are as follows Pres. Ray Walls, V.
Pres. C.G. Greer Treasurer Lee House, Secretary
Doris Brubaker, Tour Director John Adkins Referee Tailgunner Don
Brubaker These are only Nominees and any member can be nominated.
We will have an election in January. If anyone wants to be V. Pres and
is elected I will not count the votes again and again and again as in Florida
if you get my drift. The Logo for our chapter was discussed and John wants
us all to submit and may the most voted for one be chosen. The meeting
was closed at 3:10
